I earned my Bachelor of Arts in Criminology from the University of Memphis in 2012 and went on to earn my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Capella University in 2023. Currently a Licensed Professional Counselor-Associate in Texas under the Texas Behavioral Health Executive Council, I am supervised by LaTasha Teamer, LPC-S, LMFT. I am also a National Certified Counselor, certified by the National Board for Certified Counselors.
Specializing in adult therapy, child and teen therapy, anxiety, and Christian counseling, I am very passionate about helping individuals of all ages navigate their emotional struggles. Trauma-focused trained and experienced in evidence-based modalities such as TF-CBT, CBT, Solution-Focused Therapy, and Person-Centered Therapy, I work with clients to develop tailored, integrative approaches to heal and grow. I am committed to supporting clients through life’s challenges with a compassionate perspective.
Life often presents us with overwhelming challenges, leaving us feeling stuck, disconnected, and unsure of where to turn. I understand how hard it can be to keep it all together on the outside while struggling internally with anxiety, restlessness, or a sense of defeat. Life’s cycles can feel endless, and when what you’ve been doing to cope stops working, it can be difficult to know where to go next. But you don’t have to carry that weight alone.
As a counselor, I work intentionally to help clients of all backgrounds and stages of life find sustainable, realistic ways to overcome their challenges. Believing that every path is predestined, I encourage clients to see their struggles not as barriers, but as opportunities to develop strength and resilience.
Drawing inspiration from a deep faith, I emphasize the importance of grace—not only from God, but also toward ourselves. It’s crucial to forgive ourselves for the past and move forward in a way that fosters growth, emotional health, and vitality for ourselves and those we love. I truly believe that we are meant to thrive—and to do so with grace.
